Ukrainians have had the passport exchange period shortened: what has changed for citizens.
According to inkorr.com: The State Migration Service urges owners of booklet passports not to forget to update their photographs in their documents. This is especially important for citizens who have old-style passports. Violating this rule carries a fine of up to 51 hryvnias.
It is not always necessary to replace an old passport with an ID card, but there are situations where this is mandatory.
For example, mandatory exchange is required in case of missing the deadline for pasting a photo, damage to the document, or its loss. The passport must also be replaced when personal data changes. Using an invalid passport may lead to a fine.

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to shorten the passport exchange period. Now, for urgent issuance or exchange of documents, only 7 working days are required, instead of the previous 10. This innovation applies only to urgent cases, while the standard procedure remains unchanged.
