Russian assault on the Lyman direction: how Ukrainian defenders stopped the breakthrough

According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian military successfully halted the Russian army's attempt to breach defenses in the Lyman direction, which took place in foggy conditions. This was reported by the head of the communications department of the 60th Separate Mechanized Inhulets Brigade, Maksym Bilousov, on Army TV.

'Due to the large number of welded elements, it was difficult to identify the type of armored vehicles. However, this did not prevent us from stopping the assault through joint efforts. The 60th and 63rd brigades led the operation to repel the attack', - explained Bilousov.

He noted that the enemy took advantage of the fog to launch a surprise attack using tanks and armored vehicles with improvised protection. Despite the poor visibility, Ukrainian soldiers managed to successfully coordinate their actions and repel the assault, employing FPV drones for reconnaissance and remote mining.

Repetition and training known through the enemy's eyes

Bilousov also emphasized that the attack in the Lyman direction resembles recent attempts by the aggressor from last year. However, the lessons learned from previous failures have not stopped the invaders in their training on mistakes. Ukrainian military maintains a high readiness for any possible developments in defense.

This situation once again highlights the complexity of the situation at the front, where even unfavorable weather conditions do not stop the enemy. However, thanks to the skill and determination of the Ukrainian military, not only was the assault repelled, but they also demonstrated readiness for rapid response to any threats. Such events indicate the importance of continuous training and improvement of tactics on the battlefield.
