Compensation for IDPs and residents of frontline areas
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has launched a new compensation mechanism for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and residents of frontline areas as part of the eOselya program. According to this initiative, the state will cover 70% of the costs for the down payment on a mortgage loan, as well as 70% of the monthly payments during the first year of loan repayment. Additionally, up to 40 thousand hryvnias can be obtained for other expenses related to the mortgage registration.Minister Sobolev noted that the goal of the program is to ease housing conditions for those affected by occupation or hostilities in frontline areas. Once the issue of cooperation between the Pension Fund and partner banks is resolved, compensations will become available for those who meet the program's conditions.Citizens who have IDP status or live in frontline zones and do not own housing on Ukrainian territory can apply to participate in the program. Individuals whose property is located in combat zones or under occupation also have the right to receive compensation under the eOselya program. The implementation of the eOselya program plays an important role in supporting people who have been affected by the war and lost their homes. It is a step towards restoring the housing rights of citizens, as well as providing them with the opportunity to return to normal life in Ukraine.Read also
