The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 6 villages in Donetsk: enemy losses amounted to over 1300 soldiers.
The Defense Forces liberated six villages in the Donetsk region from the Russians. Over the past two weeks, the enemy has suffered huge losses both in personnel and military equipment.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 18.
Events in the Donetsk region
The military cleared six villages in the Donetsk region from the Russians. From August 4 to 17, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard, which are part of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine 'Azov', worked together. These villages — Hruzke, Rubizhne, Novovodyane, Petrivka, Vesele, and Zoloty Kolodyaz — were cleared of the enemy.
As a result of the active actions of the Ukrainian troops, the Russian occupiers lost more than a thousand men: 984 killed, 355 wounded, and 37 captured. Also, 11 tanks, eight armored vehicles, 112 cars and motorcycles, one MLRS, 22 artillery pieces, and 106 drones of various types were destroyed.
'Stabilization operations are ongoing in the direction of the city of Dobropillya in Donetsk. The occupiers continue to capitulate. Over the past day, Ukrainian troops captured seven Russian soldiers,' said the report.
Additionally, last week, the city of Pokrovsk was liberated from enemy groups and individual occupiers. Ukrainian troops are also continuing their advance in several directions and holding their positions.
In two weeks, the defense forces of Ukraine and the National Guard liberated six villages from Russian occupiers in the Donetsk region, inflicted significant losses on the enemy in personnel and equipment, and continue active operations in the liberated territories.
