Call to Amorim

According to The Sun: Jamie Carragher has called on Ruben Amorim to leave Manchester United to end his "catastrophic" time in charge.

The former Liverpool player’s comments came after United lost again under the Portuguese coach, falling to Brentford 3-1.

Amorim's record in the Premier League is historically poor for United - just 34 points from 33 games and seventeen defeats.

Last year's 15th place was the worst finish in the club's entire history in the Premier League era, and the defeat in the Europa League final against Tottenham only exacerbated the failures.

This season has not started any better, with three defeats in the first six games, despite nearly £250 million spent in the summer.

Additionally, the team was mocked after losing in the Carabao Cup to League Two side Grimsby.

Carragher believes the situation is so critical that the manager is only still in the job because of the club's hierarchy's reluctance to admit their mistakes.

“I believe he is still in charge because the leadership of Man United has made so many mistakes that they find it hard to admit they have made another.”

“It has been a disaster for Man United and Ruben Amorim. What he achieved at Sporting was great, but his style of play does not align with the traditions of Manchester United.”

“We are just waiting for the inevitable. Unfortunately, one does not want to see people lose their jobs, but this must end as soon as possible.”

Rumors suggest that Amorim offered to resign last season, but there is no confirmation of that.

After the Europa League final, the 40-year-old manager mentioned he would be willing to leave if the club and fans believed he could not lift the team.

Internal sources from the club report “disbelief and surprise” in the dressing room over the rapid deterioration of the situation after an optimistic summer.

The club assures that it is currently not planning any changes to the coaching staff, even as Amorim claims he remains “confident” in United's chances of becoming a strong team under his leadership.

“When you win, you feel like everything is going in the right direction. When you lose, you have to fight again for a win if you want to build momentum,”

Next weekend, United hosts Sunderland at Old Trafford, hoping to win three home games in a row for the first time in over two years.

Problems at Manchester United

One of the biggest challenges for Manchester United last season was that almost every other team in the Premier League had a better striker, - says Samuel Luckhurst.

Now almost all other teams in the Premier League have a better goalkeeper.

Except for Southampton, the remaining 18 teams in the current league had more experienced strikers than Rasmus Hojlund.

Jamie Vardy, although he is in a dip of form, has still scored more than double the goals of Hojlund.

In turn, Benjamin Sesko, who failed to prove himself at United, has also shown no better performances than Hojlund.

In Amorim's defense, he even admitted that Altay Bayindir is not the team's first choice.

Bayindir looks confident on the pitch but does not always show the best qualities; his mistake in the final minutes of the game against Chelsea seriously unsettled the fans.

Sennen Lammens, who moved from Royal Antwerp for £18.2 million, is already 23 but has yet to play for the Belgian national team.

United have found that Lammens has one of the highest assist rates in Europe, but it remains uncertain whether he can handle the responsibility awaiting him.

There is a significant risk that United will not establish an undisputed starting goalkeeper this season that fans can trust.

For a club with such a renowned academy, it is evident that United have never really given Henderson the chance.

It is known that Henderson will not return to United, but if the club approaches him again, he is likely to be supported.
