According to The Sun: Passengers on the Wizz Air flight erupted in screams as their aircraft was tossed in the air due to severe turbulence.
Rumors and desperate prayers echoed through the dark cabin before the pilot was forced to cancel landing at Fiumicino Airport in Rome, Italy.
An injured passenger uploaded a video of the turbulence on TikTok.
The Airbus A321, which took off from Alicante in southeastern Spain, made an emergency landing in Bologna early Thursday.
Shocking footage shared on social media captioned: 'Minutes of Horror on the Flight' shows the turbulent movement of the cabin mid-air.
Screams from terrified passengers pierce the darkness as others shout 'Oh my God' and 'No, no, no!'
Redirect to Bologna Due to Weather
The Wizz Air flight W4 6038 from Alicante to Rome Fiumicino on August 20 was redirected to Bologna Airport due to the inability to safely land the aircraft because of adverse weather conditions at Rome Fiumicino Airport.
The company stated that ground transportation was provided for passengers from Bologna to Rome and passengers who 'organized ground transportation' were informed about the possibility of receiving refunds.
