Discussion on the podcast
During a conversation on The Good, The Bad & The Football show with Paddy McGuinness and Nicky Butt, the trio discussed 'masculine' topics after mentioning the Manchester derby in which United lost 3-0.
Comedian McGuinness recalled the famous incident when Neville kissed Scholes, to which Butt jokingly noted:
“That was Neville's first kiss”.
Scholes remarked:
“He tickled me with his little moustaches. Honestly, I didn't expect that.”
McGuinness reminded that Scholes kissed him back, to which Scholes smiled and replied:
“What, should I hit him?”
The discussion continued with McGuinness, 52, claiming that kissing a man in football is the most masculine thing you can do.
A view on feelings
He said:
“I’ve kissed a few guys and been kissed by a few guys. But in the context of an aggressive game, it seems natural.”
Scholes added:
“No, kissing on the lips is weird… Maybe on the cheek from time to time. But on the lips – it’s weird.”
Speaking about the kiss with Neville, Scholes admitted:
“Yeah, I had no idea he was going to do that.”
He also emphasized:
“I would say I love it – I love looking at that photo.”
“Gary is emotional and passionate, that's just who he is.”
McGuinness concluded the discussion with the words:
“I’m in, that’s testosterone.”
The podcast also paid tribute to the legendary Ricky Hatton, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 46. A heartfelt memorial was held at the Etihad, where Manchester gathered again to honor the memory of a local hero.

Ruben Amorim's team couldn't bounce back after the international break, losing the match 3-0 away.
Phil Foden opened the scoring for City in the 18th minute, heading in, and there was little that Altai Bayndir could do, who kept his place after signing Snonne Laminens.
Then Erling Haaland scored two goals in the second half, putting the opponents out of reach.
