West Ham acknowledges unsatisfactory results: Club releases statement for fans.
The club's openness regarding the failed season start
According to The Sun: The club WEST HAM admitted that 'no one in the club is satisfied' with the situation after the failed season start under Graham Potter.
The Hammers fans expressed dissatisfaction with the season start, where the team lost four of the first five matches in all competitions.
AFPGraham Potter is under pressure from the fans due to the poor results at the start of the season.
As the pressure on the management and Potter increases, the club released a statement regarding its position after a meeting with the Fans' Advisory Board.
Promises to improve the future
Two years after European glory in the Conference League, the club owners acknowledged that the results do not meet their standards, despite 'significant investments' in football activities.
The statement reads:
'Firstly, we acknowledge that the results and performances on the pitch in the last two seasons have not met the standards we set for ourselves.'
It is also noted:
'No one in the club is satisfied with this situation, and the board has spent a lot of time analyzing the decisions made in the football operation to find an improved strategy.'
The club is working on implementing a new strategy and approach to return to the required level, which includes Graham Potter's appointment in this strategy.
Sporting Director Mark Noble and Head of Recruitment Kyle Macaulay are also involved in planning for the future.
The club's goals
These ambitions are framed as 'consistent placements in the top half of the table, successful performances in the domestic cups, and qualification for European competitions.'
The club also responded to the long-standing concerns of fans regarding the London Stadium and the lack of atmosphere compared to Upton Park.
Work is underway to create 'fan groups that deal with improving the atmosphere, and fan-led initiatives to boost the emotions at the games, including the introduction of fan zones and fan displays.'
It was stated that 'regular victories are the best way to improve the atmosphere.'
Despite significant investments in training facilities, stadium modernization, and summer transfers, the club's leadership assured fans that the club remains financially 'stable and resilient.'
In the statement, fans expressed the need for more ambition than in the placements of the last two seasons, and the club agrees with this.
The owners emphasized:
'Regular placements in the upper half of the table, successful performances in domestic cups, and qualification for European competitions remain the goals we are striving for.'
The club also reminded that it is proud of its history and loyal fans and is committed to building a club that embodies both aspects.
Details will be updated...
The club's leadership shows a willingness to change by responding to fans' concerns and aims to improve the team's results. Thus, WEST HAM hopes to return to its former glory and be competitive in national and European competitions.
