Alisson to miss match against Chelsea: Slot confirmed goalkeeper's injury.
According to The Sun: The head coach Arne Slot shared not-so-optimistic news about the players' condition ahead of Liverpool's match against Chelsea, which will take place on Saturday.
The focus is on goalkeeper Alisson and forward Hugo Ekitike, who were forced to leave the field due to injuries during the defeat to Galactica last week.
ReutersThe coach confirmed that Alisson will not be able to play this weekend, but the exact severity of his injury is still unknown. He noted: 'It is never a positive sign when a player has to leave the field in that manner. When my player is on the ground, I nine out of ten times fear the worst. And by the worst, I mean he cannot continue, and that is what happened with Alisson. Typically, he won’t be able to play on Saturday, it's 99.9 percent.'
Alisson's injury could open the door for Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has a chance to debut in the Premier League. The player joined Liverpool from Valencia in the summer but has only played in one match so far.

As for Ekitike, he was also unfortunate — the injury occurred when he was trying to get to the ball. Slot did not specify a timeline for the French forward's return, noting: 'He said he could not continue, so we had to replace him. Let’s see how he feels before the weekend.'
This season, Ekitike has shown excellent form, scoring three goals and providing one assist in his first five matches.
Bad news regarding the players' conditions only adds challenges for Liverpool, as their opponent Chelsea also has injury problems, notably, forward Cole Palmer is also sidelined due to injury.
Liverpool hopes to regain the luck that saw them occupy the top position in the league after two consecutive defeats in all competitions.
In an attempt to improve their results, Liverpool hopes that the current squad problems do not prevent them from continuing the fight for high places on the table. It is important for the team to be able to adapt to the new situation and take advantage of any opportunity on the field.
