The Ryder Cup is held every two years, so the 46th edition of the competition will take place in 2027.

The dates are already confirmed: four days of preparation are scheduled from Monday, September 13, to Thursday, September 16.

The competition will start on Friday, September 17, and will end on Sunday, September 19.

The Ryder Cup returns as the European team defends their title on American soil this weekend.

Luke Donald's team is already in New York ahead of the big start on Friday, as they have dominated the prestigious competition in the 21st century, winning eight of 11 meetings since 2002.

However, only two of those victories took place in the United States, as the U.S. team won both competitions in 2021 and 2016.

In fact, the European team has won only one of the four Ryder Cups held in the U.S. - in 2012, since their victory there in 2004. Therefore, the U.S. team enters this year's competition as the bookmaker's favorite.

Where Will Ryder Cup 2027 Take Place?

Europe will host the Ryder Cup 2027, and the event will return to Ireland for the first time since it was held at K-Club in 2006.

The competition will take place at the luxurious Adare Manor in County Limerick.

This venue has also hosted the Irish Open in 2007 and 2008, and underwent a major renovation in 2017.
