Who is Désirée Englander, the fiancée of Armand Duplantis?

Désirée Englander is a model and content creator who became engaged to Armand 'Mondo' Duplantis in October 2024.

The proposal took place on a beach in East Hampton, New York, during a photoshoot for Vogue Scandinavia.

It was a wonderful way for Armand to make the proposal a surprise, which Désirée was thrilled about since her dream was to appear in Vogue Scandinavia.

The magazine published a digital cover announcing the engagement, which has garnered over 13 million views.

Désirée was born on May 2, 2001, in Stockholm.

After attending Bromma High School, she graduated from the Berg School of Communication where she studied content marketing.

The couple met in June 2020 at a midsummer party in Stockholm, although Désirée was not looking for a relationship at the time.

She confessed to Vogue Scandinavia:

“I had just graduated from school; I wasn't interested in anyone at that point. He felt like I had immediately rejected him.' Désirée Englander

But Duplantis didn't give up and found a way to contact her through Snapchat.

Eventually, Désirée agreed to a date before Armand's departure to the USA.

Since then, the two have been inseparable - Désirée accompanies her fiancée at competitions worldwide.

She was in Tokyo on September 15, 2025, when Armand set a world record in pole vaulting, making his 14th record.

During the competition, Désirée ran through the streets of Tokyo before settling in the stands of Japan's National Stadium to support her partner.

On Instagram, she shared photos from the trip and captioned the post with “Team @mondo_duplantis”.

Her post received about 30,000 likes, and the comments were filled with enthusiastic responses.

The couple's German communication style sparks lively discussions on social media as their support story and Armand's successes on the international stage become increasingly popular among the youth target audience. Désirée continues to actively support her partner, showcasing the strong bonds that inspire many.
