According to The Sun: Willie Mullins shared important information about the plans for his leading horses at the start of the season.

This season, Ballyburn's main task will be the stakes hurdle, after a not-so-successful show at the Brown Advisory. Mullins confirmed that the horse's first start this season could take place at John Durkan in Punchestown at the end of November.

Although Mullins did not reveal all the cards regarding Losomeout's future, he hinted that State Man would again compete in the Champion Hurdle.

“Losomeout is in good form and has come back strong. Our usual first start is Hatton's Grace, and it should head to Cheltenham if all goes well,”

– said Mullins.

As for Ballyburn, his plans have changed, and he may return to hurdles after a disappointing performance in last year's Gold Cup. His main goal for the season is the Stayers' Hurdle, where his odds are currently estimated at 8-1.

“We have thought long about Ballyburn, and I believe that a return to hurdles will be the best option at this stage of his career,”

– added Mullins.

Plans for other horses

Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner Koepp De Borde is preparing for the Arkle Chase. This race could be one of the highlights of the festival if Nicky Henderson fields Lulaba, who has odds of 7-2.

Fact To File may also become the second entrant for the Gold Cup for owner JP McManus, depending on how his season develops. Additionally, Anzadam, who won two Grade 3s last year, may join the lineup for the Champion Hurdle; currently, his odds are 20-1.

Galopin De Champs plans to fight for a third Gold Cup again, following his proven route to Cheltenham. Mullins is confident that:

“Galopin De Champs has returned, and I think we will try to stick to the same path as last year,”
