Owners send four top mares of Willy Mullins for sale: details.
Absence of four 'outstanding' horses
According to The Sun: Willy Mullins has decided to part ways with four horses from his stable as their owners, including Rich Ricci, have decided to put them up for sale.
Among them is the two-time Grade 2 winner, mare Allegorie De Vassy, who is the most notable representative of this group.
PAAllegorie De Vassy, who has won seven races, has earned about £200,000 on the track and will be sold in foal to Jukebox Jury.
She participated in three mare races at the festival in Cheltenham, where she finished second in 2023.
Other horses for sale
Grade 1 winner Brandy Love, who looked promising for Mullins, failed to replicate her success after winning a novice hurdle in April 2022.
Her last race took place in April 2024, and she was activated after a severe fall at Wexford.
Brandy Love is one of two mares owned by Joe and Marie Donnelly, who are also offering for sale Je Garde, who has two victories.
Lady Vega Allen, owned by Michael Hillery Burke, has shown excellent form, finishing fourth in the Triumph Hurdle in her last outing.
All four mares will be presented at the Goffs December National Hunt Sale, where Mullins has previously sold his animals.
Henry Bibby, CEO of Goffs Group, said: “Following last year’s success with Pink In The Park, we are proud to announce that Willy Mullins and his owners have again chosen Goffs December Sale for these outstanding mares that will undoubtedly attract the attention of every National Hunt breeder.”
“Their support is a great endorsement of the auction's reputation as the leading market for National Hunt breeding stock.”
“From Apples’ Jade to Concertista and Marie’s Rock, we have offered some of the best horses at Goffs in recent years, and we anticipate even more impressive moments at the December auction with this wonderful draft from Closutton.”
