Woman Involved in Horner Scandal to Leave Red Bull for £3 Million

According to The Sun: The woman who became a central figure in the Horner messaging scandal has reportedly agreed to leave Red Bull for £3 million.

Insiders claim that this payment will allow her to waive all claims against 51-year-old Horner.

According to the Daily Mail, the woman was present in the paddock during the Singapore Grand Prix but is currently working in another team.

Recall that after an internal investigation on February 28, Horner was cleared of wrongdoing, which he has always denied.

However, it later emerged that she is seeking a new lawyer and plans to appeal this decision, according to The Times.

Situation in Red Bull and Horner's Plans

On March 7, the woman was temporarily suspended from her role at Red Bull with full pay due to concerns regarding her 'integrity.' During the investigation, it was revealed that she may have provided inconsistent information.

At the same time, Horner was ousted as head of Red Bull in July following disappointing results at the British Grand Prix, receiving a severance payment of £80 million.

Despite this, Horner, the former longest-serving team principal in Formula 1, intends to return to motorsport in 2026.

SunSport reports that by waiving the maximum payout of £110 million, Horner now has the opportunity to return to Formula 1 as early as the spring of 2026.

This has piqued the interest of several teams, such as Alpine, Aston Martin, and Haas.

Future Plans and Team Reactions

The Haas team confirmed discussions with Horner ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix but stated that they would not be moving to the next stage.

“It is true that he reached out to us, and one of our staff had a conversation, but that is where it ended,' said Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu.

Horner seeks to take on a more significant role where he would have full control, possibly through a partial or full purchase of team shares.

However, at Haas, which lacks significant financial resources, owner Gene Haas has shown no interest in selling part of his shares.

Moreover, three other teams have declined potential collaboration with Horner. Aston Martin team principal Andy Cowell confirmed that there are no plans for Horner to be involved in future projects.

“I can clearly state that we have no plans to involve Horner,' he noted.

Alpine team principal Steven Nielsen also added that despite Horner's friendship with Flavio Briatore, there are no confirmations of his possible joining the French team.

Williams team principal James Vowles did not close the door to potential contact with Horner but emphasized that the team is satisfied with the current state of affairs.

In the current situation, it is important to note that Horner, despite the accusations and his ousting, remains one of the key figures in the world of Formula 1. His return to the market and possibility of a comeback in 2026 creates intrigue regarding the future in the motorsport industry, where competition for talent has always been exceptionally high.

Additionally, the situation surrounding the scandal involving this woman could further complicate the relationships within Team Red Bull and the management of Formula 1. As of today, the investigation is ongoing and future events could significantly impact the further development of the situation.
