Littler, who played an exhibition match in Skegness on Saturday evening, stated:
“Obviously, this is the next big tournament for me. But honestly, I didn’t like last time.
“I don’t like double start. It’s one of the hardest tournaments to win.
“There’s the World Championship, Matchplay, Premier League. But double start – if you don’t start right, you’ll get into trouble!
“I can’t say I often train double start, but obviously, before this tournament, I’ll need to practice – just to get used to it.
“Every year we see someone hit the bull first and then forget about it.
“It’s going to be tough. But we still have plenty of darts to play this year.”
