London Lions enter a new season
According to The Sun: In recent years, there has been a trend in the women's super league in Great Britain: the team promoted from the Championship usually gets relegated back immediately. However, this year the situation may be different.
GettyLondon City Lions, led by billionaire Michelle Kang, have high hopes for a successful debut in the league. The team has signed several well-known newcomers and hopes to secure a mid-table position during its first season.
Team's strength is growing
The Lions will start their journey in the league with a match against European champions Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. The team's players are eagerly anticipating this challenge.
“I can't wait to play there. It's amazing, we are ready to compete with the best,”
– said midfielder Julia Roddar.
This summer, London City strengthened their squad, with 23-year-old defender from Spain, Jana Fernández, joining the team after terminating her contract with Barça, allowing her to join the Lions for free.
