According to The Sun: This weekend you have a wonderful opportunity to see some of the most luxurious houses in the UK, as Rightmove opens its doors to visitors.

The open house festival is a great chance for architecture and design enthusiasts to explore their dreams of ideal real estate during their free time.

Open House Festival

The Open House Festival in London, which has been held since 1992, celebrates the unique architecture and urban landscape of the capital.

Every year, more than 700 objects, buildings, and other architecturally significant sites in 33 London boroughs open their doors to anyone interested. Many of them are considered a 'window to life' for visitors.

We invite you to join the festival from September 13 to 21, and this weekend you can look forward to impressive houses.

Stoke Newington House

Open House Festival

On Saturday, September 20, you can take a look at this modern renovation of a Victorian townhouse in Stoke Newington.

This historic site has been transformed into a contemporary home, with an extension added to the back between 1958 and 1962.

A quiet garden between the extended kitchen and guest house creates a cozy relaxation space.

Natural light fills the interior, which features a minimalist approach while still maintaining warmth.

Spaces are described as 'emotionally and intellectually engaging, challenging and stimulating', while also 'maximizing efficiency, practicality, and longevity for our clients'.

Six Columns

Open House Festival

Six Columns is located on a green street in South London and was recognized as House of the Year by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in 2024.

This house is 'restrained and balanced with its surroundings', its 'personality unfolds' as you approach the property.

It harmoniously fits into the neighborhood and looks quite unremarkable from the outside, but inside it truly reveals its character.

It all starts with a hallway, leading you to spacious open areas on three floors with an 'insufficient number of rooms'.

You will be able to self-tour everything this Saturday, September 20.

Woodside Loft, 4 Singleton Scarp

Open House Festival

Also on Saturday, you can view this impressive loft, which won the SBID International Design Excellence Award in 2020, just a 10-minute walk from Woodside Park station.

This house was originally a three-bedroom semi-detached house built in the 1930s, described as a 'large multifunctional space' with stunning views from the front.

The stylish and modern loft 'serves as a living room with a view, a guest room, a workspace, a relaxation spot, solitude, and a place for socializing with family or friends.'

Among its unique features is a well-soundproofed 'party wall' with LED strips and spotlights, as well as mirrors that visually expand the space.

Bough Terrace

Open House Festival

The historic Bough Terrace is located in the heart of Knightsbridge, central London, on a quiet residential street.

This Victorian 'lace' opens the 'layers of the existing house', allowing 'its historic foundations to unfold and be appreciated.'

The restored facade fits wonderfully into the atmosphere of the Victorian terrace.

Among the features are a floating dark blue staircase and a specially designed Japanese soaking tub with water from a wooden tap that you can see this Saturday.

The Open House Festival not only offers tours of unique properties but also allows participation in other exclusive tours from September 13 to 21.

This event provides the opportunity to visit places that are usually not open to the public, offering a chance to gain new experiences in the architecture and design of London.
