One-Time Cash Assistance for Purchasing Heating Fuel
According to Novyny.live: Starting June 1, 2026, residents of Ukraine can apply for a one-time financial grant to buy solid fuel for stoves and furnaces ahead of the 2026-2027 heating season. This support is available to people living in nine regions:
- Sumy
- Kharkiv
- Kherson
- Luhansk
- Donetsk
- Dnipropetrovsk
- Zaporizhzhia
- Mykolaiv
- Chernihiv
The registration period for receiving this payment runs until August 17, 2026. Eligible households can receive this aid once per year. During the 2025-2026 heating season, households were granted 19,400 hryvnias.
Required Documents for Submitting an Application
Applicants must prepare specific paperwork to file their request. This includes:
- an official application form
- a passport
- a taxpayer identification number (RNOCPP)
- documents detailing household composition
- certificates confirming beneficiary status
- a bank account statement
Those eligible include individuals with disabilities, single pensioners, members of large families, recipients of state childbirth assistance, foster family representatives, single mothers or fathers, internally displaced persons, and those receiving housing subsidies.
This initiative aims to assist households that need financial help to secure heating during the cold season.
The program is part of a broader state strategy to support vulnerable populations who have been significantly affected by economic and social hardships.
Providing heating financial aid is a critical measure, especially given rising energy prices and potential challenges linked to climate change. Allocating funds to these specific regions also helps promote stability in areas that require special attention.
