New Passport Service Appointment Rules for Ukrainians Abroad Take Effect June 1.
Changes to Appointment Booking for the 'Document' State Enterprise Passport Service
According to Novyny.live: Starting June 1, 2026, the appointment system for Ukrainians using the 'Document' State Enterprise passport service abroad will be updated. Those in Poland will have the option to book either through an electronic queue or a walk-in ('live') queue. In contrast, Ukrainians in Italy will only be able to use the electronic queue for appointments.
The new rules, effective from June 1, 2026, also specify the number of walk-in tickets available without prior booking in various Polish cities:
- Warsaw: 60 tickets
- Wrocław: 40 tickets
- Gdańsk: 30 tickets
- Kraków: 30 tickets as well
Notably, 61% of all consular requests are related to obtaining a citizen's passport.
For your convenience, we recommend using the online booking system on the website, which is updated continuously throughout the day.

These changes aim to simplify the passport application process for Ukrainians living abroad. By introducing new booking options, particularly in Poland and Italy, obtaining passports is becoming more accessible. This will ease the process for many Ukrainians who urgently need to complete their documents.
Ukrainians planning to visit the 'Document' passport service abroad should be aware of these updates and pay attention to the new appointment rules to avoid confusion.
The introduction of revised appointment procedures for the passport service is a significant step toward improving services for Ukrainians overseas. It is expected to reduce queues and streamline document processing, which is especially critical given the high demand for passports. According to statistics, the majority of consular inquiries involve passport issuance, making these changes a key factor in enhancing convenience for citizens.
