Starting from 2026, Ukrainians over 40 will receive free medical check-ups: how it will work

According to inkorr.com: From January 1, 2026, Ukrainians who reach the age of 40 will be able to undergo free medical examinations at the state’s expense. Funds for these services will be transferred to a virtual card in the 'Diia' mobile application. This was announced by the Minister of Health Viktor Liashko.

According to the minister, one month after their birthday, citizens will receive notifications in the app offering them to undergo a free examination. 'You will receive funds on your card in the app, you choose a healthcare facility for the examination,' explained Liashko.

Available examinations and treatments

As part of the program, a full range of examinations will be offered, including consultations with specialists, laboratory and instrumental studies. Patients will be able to independently choose the medical facility for their examination. In case of deviations from the norm, they will be provided with an electronic prescription for free treatment at the state’s expense.

New features in the 'Diia' app

The 'Diia' app has also received new features, including the ability to submit a report on completed construction works. In addition, users can receive medical notifications, including electronic prescriptions and referrals from doctors. The Ministry of Digital Transformation assured that the app does not collect or distribute users' personal data and will start informing about individuals who view their data in state registries.

Free medical check-ups for Ukrainians over 40 will appear in 2026. Users will be able to receive funding on a virtual card in 'Diia'. The program offers a wide range of examinations and guarantees safety and confidentiality of personal data.
