According to the rules on the website, there are no restrictions on the amount of cash exported from Ukraine, but when exceeding 10,000 euros when crossing the border, the mandatory declaration becomes a condition.

What amount can be taken across the border

Individuals can move cash and banking metals across the border up to an amount that does not exceed 10,000 euros without written declaration. Restrictions do not apply to funds in bank accounts, so any amount can be carried on cards.

Fines when crossing the border

In case of moving currency values across the border without declaration, according to Article 471 of the , a fine of 20% of the amount exceeding 10,000 euros at the official NBU exchange rate on the day of the violation may be imposed.

The 10,000 euro limit applies to each individual, so for a family with several members, the restriction may be higher if the total amount exceeds 30,000 euros in equivalent.
