Changes in the course of basic military training

According to inkorr.com: From July 2025, the duration of the basic military training course (BZWV) will be 51 days.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine provides information about the structure of training for recruits, their provision, and the outcomes after completing the program.

'The updated program will be taught in all training centers that train mobilization forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Of the 51 days of preparation, 42 days are allocated for practical and theoretical lessons, 7 days – for weekends, and 2 days – for resolving administrative issues.'

It should be noted that the level of fire training includes 137 hours of practical exercises and 56 live-fire demonstrations with various weapons. Equally important is training in protective measures against enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

'After successful training, military personnel will receive a certificate and a class qualification according to military specialty No. 100 'Shooter.'

From July 2025, the basic courses will be even more intensive, providing students with practical knowledge on protection against modern threats and issuing certificates in military specialty No. 100 'Shooter.'

These changes in the basic military training course meet modern security challenges and aim to increase the efficiency of recruit training. The updated program integrates new teaching methods that allow military personnel to better prepare for real operational conditions and defend the country. The certification system will also promote professional development in the military field.
