Horrific strike by the RF on Kyiv: the number of victims and fatalities has increased again - the destruction is massive.
According to inkorr.com: On the night of August 28, the aggressor country Russia launched a combined strike on Kyiv, which resulted in numerous casualties. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.
As a result of the attack, 13 people died, including three children aged 2, 17, and 14. Another 10 people are considered missing, and the number of injured has risen to 48. Rescue operations are underway in Kyiv after the massive strike by Russia.
Damage from the attack:
- Darnička District: 6 locations with damage, including residential buildings and a kindergarten.
- Dniprovskyi District: a residential 25-story building and cars were affected.
- Solomianskyi District: isolated damage to a private residential house.
- Shevchenkivskyi District: damage to an office building.
- Holosiivskyi District: serious damage to residential buildings.
- In the city center: hits on a shopping center and residential buildings.
In Kyiv, it is recommended to close windows due to smoke after the attackers' strike. Traffic is blocked on some routes, and a headquarters is operating to provide assistance to the affected.
Response from Ukrainian officials:
Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, noted that Russian attacks have a characteristic pattern, emphasizing the scale of strikes in various districts of Kyiv. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, drew attention to the victims of aggression and called on the international community to respond to Russia's actions.
Rescue efforts:
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported that rescuers are actively working at the strike sites in Kyiv, trying to save the wounded and find the missing.
EU Commissioner Marta Koss expressed solidarity with the Ukrainians and condemned Russia's brutal attacks, emphasizing the Kremlin's choice of terror and rejection of peace.
