A draft law on remote work has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada: what will change

More than 30 deputies, led by Halyna Tretyakova, introduced a draft law in parliament concerning remote work. It pertains to amendments to the Labor Code of Ukraine and the Law on Labor Protection.

The draft law contains a clear definition of remote and home-based work. It was registered in the Rada on September 4 and is currently being reviewed by the relevant committee.

The need for amendments to the legislation is explained by the increase in working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Experts have different opinions on this topic, considering the prospects for the development of remote employment.

'Corporate culture is formed when people work together,' noted labor market expert Serhiy Marchenko.

According to data, about 80% of employers are looking for employees for traditional forms of employment. However, the popularity of remote work is increasing, indicating positive trends in this direction.

'In the future, remote work could become commonplace,' shares her thoughts labor market expert Yulia Drozhzhina.

The parliamentary draft law on remote work has been introduced by more than 30 deputies and could address issues related to the development of this form of work in Ukraine, considering current requirements and trends regarding home-based work. Experts believe that in the future, remote work could become more widespread and promising than before.
