In Ternopil, a group of soldiers was detained for torture and robbery.
In the Ternopil region, police discovered and detained a group of military personnel who were constantly committing serious violent and property crimes. Seven detainees are already suspected under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the National Police reported.
According to inkorr.com: The criminals took their victims outside the city, tortured them, and demanded money or valuable items. The situation is particularly cynical as the attackers endangered people with serious injuries sustained during the war who were undergoing treatment. There are known cases where they used the victims' vehicles in their crimes.
Large-scale special operation and results
Thanks to special units from four regions, the police of Ternopil conducted a large-scale special operation aimed at eliminating the group of criminal soldiers. During the searches, numerous pieces of evidence, mobile phones, weapons, and vehicles were seized.
Seven participants in the case have been charged with torture, unlawful deprivation of liberty, robbery, and vehicle appropriation. The police continue to investigate and gather evidence in this case.
This incident in the Ternopil region demonstrates serious social issues when military personnel, tasked with protecting people, commit serious crimes. The actions of law enforcement and the conducted special operation show the determination to combat such phenomena and hold those responsible accountable.
The problem of military crimes has become especially acute during the war, when society needs protection. The special operation emphasizes the importance of professional police work and their readiness to combat crime in any form.
