According to ТСН: A peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine could be signed by the end of 2025.

This hope was expressed by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a press conference streamed on platform X.

He noted that the role of the U.S. in the peace negotiations is to seek possible compromises that may be acceptable to both sides of the conflict.

"This is exactly what we have spent a lot of time and energy on and continue to do. It may not be possible. I hope it is possible. I hope we can achieve this this month, by the end of the year," Rubio emphasized.

The Secretary of State also expressed a desire for the conflict to end as quickly as possible, but emphasized that Washington does not have the ability to force Ukraine or Russia to sign a peace agreement.

"It may happen this week. It may happen next month. It may not happen for several more months. It does not depend on us. It depends on both sides. Ultimately, they must reach an agreement themselves," Rubio said.

At the same press conference, Marco Rubio announced that he may participate in part of the negotiations between Russian and American officials scheduled for Saturday.

It is known that White House Special Envoy Steve Vitkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner plan to meet with the Russian delegation in Miami this weekend. The topic of the negotiations will be the agreement to cease Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matt Vitaker also noted that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump will do everything possible for a peaceful resolution, but in the coming year Ukraine must be prepared for war.

Current negotiations between Russia and Ukraine depend not only on U.S. initiatives but also on the willingness of both sides to compromise. It is currently important to maintain optimism and hope for a quick resolution to the conflict, as each passing day brings new challenges. The situation remains tense, and observers are eagerly awaiting the results of the upcoming negotiations.
