According to inkorr.com: Today, the Ukrainian team at the World Championship in paragliding amazed all fans. According to 'Glavkom', our athletes won seven medals in just one day of competition.

Anton Kol won the world championship in the 100 meters backstroke in class S1. Ilya Yaremenko and Maxim Veraksa won gold medals in the 50m freestyle event. Hanna Polishchuk impressed, becoming the vice-champion of the world in the 150m individual medley in class SM4. Danilo Chufarov and Kirill Poida adorned the team with silver and bronze, while Eduard Horodyanin finished the day with another bronze medal.

Performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival

In addition to successes at the World Championship, Ukrainian athletes also demonstrated high results at the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing 10th in the medal tally. Overall, the team won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, making it the second most successful performance in these competitions in the last 28 years. Judo particularly stood out, but victories were also achieved in many other sports.
