Ukraine's national team has reached the semifinals of the Billie Jean King Cup for the first time in history.
According to inkorr.com: At the Billie Jean King Cup, the Ukrainian team concluded its participation in the semifinals. In the doubles match, Marta Kostyuk and Lyudmyla Kichenok lost to the Italian duo Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani.
In the first set, the Italians dominated, winning it with a score of 6:2. However, the Ukrainians did not give up and won the second set 6:3. The match lasted a total of 1 hour and 21 minutes. In the final, the Italian team will compete against the winners of the USA – Great Britain match.
