Ukraine National Team Earns First Victory in Futsal World Cup Playoffs.
The Ukraine futsal team started the 2024 World Cup playoffs with a victory. This Time, the opponent was the Netherlands.
Already in the 6th minute of the first half, the Ukraine team managed to score a goal. Mykhailo Zvarych opened the score after a pass from Danylo Abakshyn. But the Netherlands quickly decided to respond, but the goalkeeper of the national team saved the team and deflected the ball. Then Mohamed Chikh dangerously shot from the penalty area, but the ball flew past the Dutchman.
In the second half, the Netherlands equalized, but it took Ukraine only two minutes to regain the lead. Andriy Melnyk, who replaced the fans, scored the second goal in the match - 2:1.
The final score was set by Melnyk in the last minute of regular time. He scored a goal during a goalkeeper substitution, completing his brace and securing the 3:1 victory.

The Ukraine national futsal team also won 4:1 over the Afghanistan team in the third match of the World Cup, which took place on September 21. This result guarantees the "blue-yellows" a place in the tournament playoffs.
