According to media reports, the Italian's salary will be about 4 million euros per year.
Before his appointment in Uzbekistan, Cannavaro managed various teams, including China's 'Evergrande', Saudi Arabia's 'Al-Nasr', as well as Italian clubs 'Benevento' and 'Udinese', and Croatian 'Dinamo' Zagreb.
Fabio Cannavaro is the holder of the 'Ballon d'Or' in 2006 and a world champion.
The 2026 World Cup will host 48 teams, which will be divided into 12 groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group and eight best third-placed teams will advance to the round of 16.
The opening match of the World Cup is scheduled for June 11, 2026, in Mexico City, and the final will take place in New York on July 19.
