According to Espreso.tv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has unveiled plans for a government reshuffle, assigning specific foreign policy priorities to designated officials. The announcement, shared via Telegram, underscores the need for these changes to drive an updated political strategy. This move comes as Ukraine navigates ongoing war and global pressures, aiming to strengthen its leadership structure.
Zelensky outlined the following key areas of focus for Ukraine’s international efforts:
- Securing a licensing agreement with the United States to produce Patriot missile systems;
- Advancing a European anti-ballistic missile initiative;
- Pursuing Ukraine’s path to European Union membership;
- Managing relations with Poland and Hungary;
- Fostering collaboration with nations in the Middle East and the Gulf;
- Engaging with China and coordinating with international organizations.
The president emphasized the need to ramp up efforts in frontline and border regions, boost arms and drone supplies to the military, prepare for winter, and accelerate the transformation of state-owned enterprises. During discussions on the reshuffle, Zelensky met with Yulia Svyrydenko, thanking her for her service as prime minister and proposing she lead a new, significant initiative in relations with a key partner.
