Zelensky: Preparing Maximum Results for the State in Autumn.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his daily address on October 2nd spoke about the key issues discussed during the day. Among the main topics - the report of the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, the situation on the front, the Russian missile strike on the Odesa region, and the meeting with the head of USAID.
Zelenskyy reported on the briefing from the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Oleh Ivashchenko regarding the strengthening of the Service and working with sensitive information. "Currently, on all fronts and at all levels, we are preparing maximum results for the state in the autumn," the president noted.
Regarding the situation on the front, Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian soldiers for their resilience and bravery, especially in the Donetsk region. "Every week, despite everything, our warriors ensure truly significant damage to the occupier, and this is the most important - to wear down the enemy and provide Ukraine with the opportunity to convince partners of precisely such steps that can fundamentally, strategically change the military situation," he emphasized.
The President also spoke about the night missile strike on the Odesa region: "Last night, the Russian army launched another strike on Ukraine with 'Shaheds'. In particular, there are hits in the Odesa region, in the Izmail district, quite close to the Romanian border. 'Shaheds' hit ordinary civilian infrastructure - ferry terminal, trucks, grain storage".
Zelenskyy emphasized the need for international cooperation in air defense: "Ukraine has long been telling all neighbors, all major partners: we need to cooperate, we need to jointly shoot down 'Shaheds', shoot down missiles, especially in areas close to NATO countries. This is absolutely possible."
At the end of his address, the president spoke about the meeting with USAID head Samantha Power, where issues of Ukraine's recovery and the construction of shelters were discussed. "Now, before winter, it is very important to accelerate the implementation of all existing projects - protective in energy, secure in communities - for schools, for hospitals," Zelenskyy noted.
