Zelensky to Meet Macron and Trump's Advisors in Paris: Details of the Negotiations

According to ТСН: On Tuesday, the "Coalition of the Willing" will hold a meeting in Paris, where representatives from more than 30 countries, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, will discuss peace proposals. The head of state will also meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Negotiators from the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump - Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner - will arrive in the French capital.

Zelensky plans to have a working lunch with the American delegation and personally participate in the "Coalition" meeting. The last meeting of national security advisors and military negotiations on January 5 left a sense of urgency. There is hope that the meeting in Paris will allow the U.S., Ukraine, and other European states to "be on the same page".

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed hope to present "concrete commitments" regarding the security of Ukraine after the negotiations.

The bulk of the troops participating in the peacekeeping mission is planned to be formed from France and the United Kingdom, which will lead the ground and air components. Turkey, for its part, states that it is responsible for the security of transport routes in the Black Sea. However, it is currently unclear how close the potential forces might be to the frontline.

It was also reported that in January, Zelensky plans a new meeting with Trump, during which the leaders will discuss details of the peace plan. Negotiations are currently ongoing with representatives of the general staffs of European countries supporting Ukraine regarding security guarantees.

The meeting in Paris is set to be an important step in establishing stability in the region and discussing further steps in the peace process. The interaction of the participant countries may strengthen international support for Ukraine and contribute to the conclusion of peace agreements.
