Iran Tensions Cause Repeated Delays in Ukraine-US-Russia Talks, Zelensky Confirms.
Negotiations Between Ukraine, the US, and Russia Hit Repeated Snags
According to Novyny.live: Ongoing tensions in the Middle East, particularly concerning Iran, have led to repeated postponements of tripartite talks involving Ukraine, the United States, and Russia. While the in-person consultations have not been canceled entirely, they have been pushed back multiple times. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the negotiations are regularly delayed, highlighting the significant hurdles in reaching any agreements.
Delegations from the three nations remain in daily contact, but Russia has shown no willingness to end its full-scale invasion. Commenting on the situation, Heorhiy Tykhyi noted that
“the negotiation track is temporarily on pause”, underscoring the complexity of the current landscape. President Zelensky also remarked that
“talks between Ukraine, the US, and Russia are constantly being rescheduled due to the escalating situation surrounding Iran”. In this context, he stressed that 'Ukraine must strengthen its defenses as much as possible,' signaling the need to prepare for potential threats.

The delays in the Ukraine-US-Russia talks point to a complicated global environment that is hindering the pursuit of a peaceful resolution. Escalations in Iran and other regions may be diverting the attention of world leaders, further complicating peace efforts in Ukraine. At the same time, Ukraine's push to bolster its defenses reflects the country's readiness to face new challenges amid a shifting geopolitical landscape.
