Massive shelling from Russia: explosions occurred in many cities
On November 28, at night, Russia conducted massive shelling of Ukraine using Kalibrs and X-101 missiles from Tu-95 aircraft. Energy infrastructure and facilities were under attack. Part of the population was left without electricity due to emergency outages.
In the morning, the Air Force reported on the takeoff of Russian bombers from the airfield. Rocket launches were also recorded. Alarms spread across the country. The Air Force is monitoring the movement of missiles in western Ukraine.
Due to the de-energization of some railway sections, six trains are delayed by more than an hour. Ukrzaliznytsia is using reserve locomotives and is gradually catching up with the schedule.
Tax increases: the law was signed by the president
On November 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on tax increases. According to this law, the military tax on all income of Ukrainians will increase from 1.5% to 5%.
State budget for 2025
Also on November 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on the state budget for 2025. This law allocates 2.23 trillion UAH for the needs of the Security and Defense Forces, the purchase of weapons and equipment. The total budget expenditures will amount to 3.6 trillion UAH, and revenues will be 2.05 trillion UAH.
Law on the return of servicemen after desertion
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law under which military conscripts can voluntarily return to service after desertion or leaving military units. The law comes into effect the day it is published.
Military uniform fraud: former advisor and former MP exposed
The National Police of Ukraine exposed a fraud scheme in the procurement of military uniforms. A former advisor from the Ministry of Defense and a former MP were involved in the misappropriation of budget funds and the signing of contracts at inflated prices. The organizer of the scheme is an international-level fraudster.
