Zelensky warned about massive strikes from the Russian Federation on Christmas: critical dates named.
According to ТСН: President Volodymyr Zelensky warned about the possibility of a massive strike by Russian troops on Ukraine in the coming days.
He voiced this information during a meeting with diplomats.
“The troubling issue is that when Russia says there will be no Christmas truce, this is always what they say — it emphasizes such intimidation. After such signals, I requested to strengthen our intelligence as much as possible to clearly understand where we stand,” Zelensky said.
The president does not rule out that the Russians may launch massive strikes precisely during the Christmas holidays.
“We understand that during these days they can carry out massive strikes. It is in their character — (to strike — Ed.) on Christmas. Especially on our Christmas (Zelensky hints that he refers to Christmas by the new style, that is, December 25, and not January — Ed.) to make some massive strike. Therefore, the number one issue is air defense, the protection of our cities, villages, and communities, especially December 23, 24, and 25,” he said.
Therefore, Zelensky urged Ukrainians to be particularly careful during these days and to respond to all air alarms, as the Russians have “nothing sacred.”
Earlier, the president noted that during these weeks, the Russian army has significantly increased the intensity of attacks.
Now, in the context of an aggravated military situation, Ukrainians must remain vigilant. Considering the president's warning, it is important to take safety measures and monitor air alarm alerts, especially during the holiday days. This emphasizes the necessity of readiness for possible challenges that the country may face in the near future.
