Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and discussed several important issues during the conversation.
'I told him about my participation in the events marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and expressed my condolences to the Prime Minister and the Israeli people in connection with the tragedy of the Holocaust,' Zelensky reported on social media on January 28.
The President of Ukraine welcomed the beginning of the release of hostages and emphasized the importance of bringing people home and restoring contact with their families. He also expressed hope for the quick release of all hostages.
According to Zelensky, the conversation highlighted the necessity of ensuring the safety of people by creating a peaceful and stable environment.
The leaders also discussed maintaining partnership relations, particularly with the United States and President Trump, and agreed on further close contact in the future.
