Zelensky and Macron in Paris: negotiations on peace and security guarantees for Ukraine.
According to ТСН: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held lengthy negotiations with French colleague Emmanuel Macron in Paris. The main focus was on issues related to ending the war and ensuring security for Ukraine.
Zelensky shared impressions of the meeting on social media.
“We spoke for several hours with Emmanuel. We managed to assess many details. The most attention was paid to negotiations aimed at ending the war and security guarantees.”
The President emphasized that peace must be sustainable, and the war should end as soon as possible. Much depends on his words, so the activity of leaders is important. He also announced planned negotiations with other countries on December 1.
Visit to the Élysée Palace
On December 1, Zelensky together with First Lady Olena Zelenska visited the Élysée Palace in Paris, where they were met by Macron. According to the visit's agenda, after a personal meeting, the President of Ukraine intended to familiarize himself with the production capabilities of the French aerospace company Dassault Aviation.
Meeting with Rustem Umerov
Additionally, according to Axios, Zelensky planned to meet with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, during which Umerov was to report on his five-hour meeting with the USA.
