According to UATV: On March 12, 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traveled to Bucharest, where several bilateral cooperation documents were signed between Ukraine and Romania. Political scientist Yaroslav Teleshun noted that Romania has a strong interest in accelerating Moldova’s integration into the European Union. He emphasized that security remains a key priority and that strengthening cooperation with neighboring countries is a highly significant direction.

“Romania, of course, defends its national interests,” Teleshun added, pointing to the importance of regional interaction.

The expert also highlighted the Romanian people’s support for Ukraine.

“The Romanian people wholeheartedly support Ukraine and maintain a clear stance on the war unleashed by Russia,” he stated.
