Ukraine’s Path to European Union Membership
According to UATV: In an address to the European Council, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy underscored that his country’s accession to the European Union is essential for regional stability. Ukraine is actively pursuing deeper integration with the EU, which Zelenskyy described as a vital step toward achieving peace and fostering development both within the country and across neighboring areas.
The Role of International Support
Zelenskyy also highlighted the significance of launching the first negotiation cluster for Ukraine and Moldova, calling it a key milestone. He expressed hope that the European Commission would open additional clusters for Ukraine during the summer, further accelerating the country’s alignment with European institutions.
“If Ukraine receives real membership—and receives it quickly, I hope for that,” the president stated.
The Ukrainian leader thanked all those backing his country’s EU ambitions, stressing the critical nature of international solidarity.
“I am grateful to everyone who recognizes this and takes the necessary steps to show that Europe truly values and supports it,” he added.These remarks reflect Ukraine’s aspirations to strengthen ties with the European Union and the active efforts by the global community to advance Kyiv’s European trajectory.
