According to UATV: During a working visit to Paris on March 13, France reaffirmed its ongoing support for Ukraine. This marked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s 12th trip to France since Russia launched its full-scale invasion. In talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, the two leaders addressed critical decisions related to military assistance.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy: 'We had a productive visit to France. Some very important decisions were made with Emmanuel Macron.'
The Ukrainian president confirmed that all expectations regarding air defense and other areas were met: 'Everything we were counting on in terms of air defense and other matters has been confirmed.'
Western Allies Continue Support for Ukraine
Aid from Western partners keeps flowing through the PURL program. Zelenskyy also thanked U.S. partners for enabling continued purchases under this initiative:
Zelenskyy: 'We are grateful to the Americans for allowing us to keep buying what we need through the PURL program.'
This visit to France thus represented a significant step in strengthening international backing for Ukraine amid ongoing aggression.
Sustained military aid from France and other Western allies remains a vital factor in the current regional situation. Bolstering Ukraine’s air defense and other military capabilities will greatly enhance its ability to counter external threats. The importance of such visits and negotiations underscores the international community’s commitment to supporting Ukraine in its fight for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
