Zelensky on nuclear weapons: the issue is not on the agenda.
According to ТСН: President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the issue of nuclear weapons or its possible expansion to Ukraine is not a topic of negotiations with partners.
The head of state shared this with Ukrainian journalists.
“Nuclear weapons are not on the agenda,” – emphasized the president, responding to questions about possible security guarantees from the UK and France.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine, together with European partners and the USA, is discussing a broader range of security guarantees. This concerns the protection of the continent as a whole, as well as specific aspects of Ukraine's defense.
“We are discussing both the continent and protection on land, in the sky, at sea, as well as a separate track – air defense, and also strengthening our army,” – said the president.
He also emphasized the importance of financial support for the Ukrainian military.
“And also additional funding for the personnel. This is very important for us for our brigades. The staffing of these brigades was at a high percentage,” – emphasized Zelensky.
Recall that Macron, Starmer, and Zelensky signed a declaration of intent regarding the deployment of multinational forces after the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine. In addition, the USA promised support for Ukraine in the event of a new Russian attack.
These comments from the president indicate a focus on strengthening Ukraine's security in the context of global challenges. Discussing various aspects of defense opens new opportunities for cooperation with partners who are ready to support Ukraine in this difficult time.
