Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that as a result of Russian attacks on Dnipropetrovsk in the night of August 7, four civilians were killed and eight were wounded. The head of state expressed gratitude to partners for their support in the fight against Russian aggression.

Zelensky responds to Russia's strikes on Dnipropetrovsk

One of the strikes occurred in Nikopol, where three people were killed during the shelling. In connection with this tragedy, August 7 was declared a day of mourning in the city.

Among the victims was a young 23-year-old rescuer Danilo Khizhnyak, an employee of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Zelensky emphasized his selflessness and condemned the actions of the Russian occupiers.

As a result of the attack, 62-year-old Yuriy Krutyn and 49-year-old Natalia Shushvar, who were just residents of the city, also lost their lives. The president expressed condolences to the relatives of the deceased.

Zelensky emphasized that attacks from the enemy occur daily, and Ukrainian communities and positions are constantly under fire. The head of state noted that Ukraine does not stand aside and retaliates with strikes on Russian logistics and oil refining facilities.

Zelensky stated: 'Russian logistics, oil refining, military economy receive a response from Ukraine. I express my gratitude to every Ukrainian soldier for their effective actions. Together we defend ourselves and force Russia to stop its aggression. Glory to Ukraine!'

There was also an announcement of a series of contacts with partner countries and President Zelensky's visit to the Sumy region, where he mentioned the anniversary of the start of the Kursk operation.
