According to the reporting materials, after the completion of the power units, the station will become the largest in Europe and will be able to produce 6.4 GW of electricity in total. This will allow providing the population with electricity at an affordable price, exporting it abroad, and creating new jobs.
The People's Council allowed the state company 'Energoatom' to purchase the necessary equipment for the completion of the power units of the Khmelnytskyi NPP. President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the deputies for their support of energy independence and industrial development of Ukraine.
The Anti-Corruption Policy Committee acknowledged that the bill for the completion of the third and fourth power units of the Khmelnytskyi NPP contains corruption risks. Earlier, the public expressed its dissatisfaction with the construction plans, but the bill was restored and rewritten, which will allow for the adoption of the law permitting the construction of the power units.
