Russian troops attacked Ukraine on the night of July 9, particularly targeting the Khmelnytskyi region. One person was killed as a result of enemy shelling in the region.
This information was provided by the head of the Khmelnytskyi regional military-civilian administration, Serhiy Tyurin.

With deep sorrow, I inform you. It has been confirmed that as a result of today's nighttime attack, unfortunately, one person was killed in the Khmelnytskyi district, Tyurin reported.
According to his data, the deceased was 65 years old. They sustained fatal injuries from debris of an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle of the 'Shahed' type. The body has now been sent for forensic examination.
The head of the regional military-civilian administration expressed sincere condolences to the relatives and close ones of the deceased person.
It is worth noting that on the night of July 9, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with a record number of drones. The primary target was Lutsk.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the aggression of the Russian Federation, stating that the enemy deliberately ignores all attempts at diplomatic resolution.
