Ukraine and the USA have worked on 20 points of the peace plan: what does the document entail.
According to ТСН: The teams from Ukraine and the USA have achieved significant progress in preparing the main document consisting of 20 points, including security guarantees and a plan for the country's economic recovery. Both sides are actively working on future negotiations in the United States, continuing diplomatic efforts even during the Christmas holidays.
Progress in negotiations
This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after a conversation with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
“Right now, we in Ukraine are preparing for meetings and negotiations in the United States, and to date our teams - the Ukrainian and American negotiating teams - have made significant progress. A lot has been done in drafting the necessary security guarantees, the recovery and economic development plan, and the basic document of 20 points,” the president stated.
Zelensky emphasized that despite the holiday season, work on the peace plan and strengthening defense continues uninterrupted.
“We are doing everything to achieve results, and our approach is just that: a joint success is needed for Ukraine and all of Europe, for America and President Trump, for all our partners in the world and for global peace,” noted Zelensky.
The president also reported that during his conversation with the Finnish colleague, they exchanged information about contacts with international partners and agreed on the importance of intensifying negotiations to maintain momentum.
Readiness of the peace plan
Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the 20-point peace plan is almost fully ready.
Earlier Zelensky reported that he will have an urgent meeting with Trump in the near future.
Thus, entrepreneurial activity between Ukraine and the USA continues despite the holidays. The continuation of negotiations indicates the seriousness of both sides' intentions to strengthen bilateral relations, especially in the context of global security and Ukraine's economic recovery. The results of the upcoming meetings are expected to significantly impact the further course of the peace process and the stabilization of the region.
