Zelenskyy Urges Parliament to Unite for a Just Peace.
Presidential Team Calls on Parliament to Step Up
According to Novyny.live: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team are pushing for a just peace in Ukraine and are urging parliament to become more active in defense, budget, economic, and social policy areas. During meetings with parliamentary factions, the president and his team stress the need to pass laws that will strengthen the country's stability.
May 20 marked seven years since President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s inauguration. Over this period, he and his team have been working to create conditions that reflect Ukraine’s voice. As team representative Yuliia Hryshyna stated,
“The entire team is essentially focused on reaching a situation of just peace in the near future, where conditions will take into account Ukraine’s position—nothing about Ukraine should happen without Ukraine.”
At the same time, Hryshyna pointed out that the current situation in parliament is complicated by political games that hinder the adoption of necessary legislative initiatives.
“Right now, everyone has turned into politicians, and each faction is playing its own political games, blocking laws that the country needs to function,”she said.
Urgent Need to Support Key Sectors
The presidential team is also highlighting the critical need to support the military, social systems, and the economy.
“We need to support the military system, the social system, and the economy, so we have to vote,”Hryshyna emphasized. These calls aim to get parliament actively involved in making decisions that are essential for the country’s future.
In short, the presidential team continues its work toward achieving a just peace and stability in Ukraine, urging parliament to take decisive action in key areas.
Given the current challenges facing Ukraine, these appeals from the presidential team underscore an urgent need for political unity and coordinated action across all factions. The parliamentary situation, marked by political maneuvering, could seriously hinder the passage of crucial laws, which in turn impacts the country’s stability and development. The importance of rallying around key issues highlights the relevance of political responsibility amid wartime and socioeconomic challenges.
