Star of 'Women's Doctor' revealed how her family suffered from repressions in the USSR.

Ukrainian actress Oleksandra Liuta, who plays the lead role in the series "Women's Doctor. New Life 2", revealed in an interview with "Glavkom" about her connection to her family's history. Her great-grandfather, Mefodiy Liuty, was exiled to Siberia by the Soviet authorities.

Oleksandra shared that her father went to the native village of Dyrdyn in the Cherkasy region and discovered that his great-grandfather was sent to Siberia. He was accused of being a kulak due to owning land plots. Great-grandfather Mefodiy was exiled to Siberia, leaving his nine children orphaned. This happened in 1939, the same year Oleksandra's father was born.

According to the actress, this family story is reflected in the series. In the final episodes, her character Liudmyla Pyshna tells the story of her family, who suffered from the exile to Siberia. And this story also occurred in 1939. Such parallels impressed Oleksandra Liuta.

"Women's Doctor. New Life 2" is a medical-drama series with military themes. The action unfolds in the Reproduction Center and in a military unit in the frontline zone. The main characters are civilian doctors who provided assistance to the military. The series shows how the lives of civilians and military intertwine over 40 episodes. Each episode contains one or two complex stories.
