Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed the Syzran Oil Refinery and Russian headquarters: details of the operation.
The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with other units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, attacked the Syzran oil refinery and the Russian command post in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.
This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram on Friday, August 15.
Attack on the Syzran Oil Refinery
Ukrainian military struck the oil refinery in the Samara region. It is one of the largest in the 'Rosneft' system and produces a wide range of fuel.
Moreover, the refinery assists in supplying the occupying army. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded fires and explosions.
Attack on the Russian command post
Ukrainian military also shelled the command post of the 132nd separate motorized rifle brigade of the 51st army of the Russian Armed Forces in the city of Yenakiieve.
The results of the attack are currently being clarified.
'Defense forces continue to take measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers and force Russia to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine', the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added.
It is worth noting that throughout 2025, deep strikes by Ukrainian forces led to losses for Russia of over 4% of its gross domestic product.
On August 14, the Ukrainian Defense Forces shelled the sea port 'Olya', located in the Astrakhan region.
The users of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck strategic facilities, destroying part of the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers. Among these facilities were the oil refinery and the command post of the Russian army. These actions are aimed at strengthening Ukraine's defense capability and stopping aggression from Russia.Read also
