According to inkorr.com: The Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched the 'Contract 60+' program, which allows citizens over 60 years old to voluntarily join military service. The aim of this initiative is to attract experienced specialists to perform non-combat tasks, especially in areas where there is a shortage of personnel.

According to Illya, an officer of the 1st Ground Forces Recruitment Center, this initiative is a logical continuation of already existing projects.

Participants in the program sign a one-year contract with the possibility of extension. In order to join the program, they need to undergo a medical examination and a two-month trial period during which they will work in various positions.

Candidates are usually selected from those who were discharged from the army after 2015, have military experience or specialize in deficient sectors. Requirements include good health and relevant experience to perform the work.

Those interested can submit an application directly at the 1st Recruitment Center, at territorial recruitment centers, or through an online form. A hotline is also available for consultations.

Procedure for participation in the program

After passing the medical examination, the candidate must submit a request to the General Staff. In case of a positive decision, a contract may be concluded and a personal file may be processed.

The 'Contract 60+' program is an important tool for attracting experienced military personnel to perform tasks unrelated to combat operations.

The launch of the 'Contract 60+' program in the Armed Forces of Ukraine aims to recruit citizens over 60 years old for non-combat tasks and to fill vacant positions. Participants can sign annual contracts, which can subsequently be extended. This program represents a new way to mobilize resources and allows for effective utilization of veterans' experience to support important functions within the Armed Forces.
